Location
Brighton is a suburb located 11km south-east of the Central Business District of Melbourne. It is between Elwood and Hampton. The most recent research done by the Australian Buerau of Statistics was done in 2020 and at the time the population in Brighton was 25,019. The Brighton Baths has been an iconic feature of Brighton for over 138 years. Over time it has transformed into a unique and popular lifestyle, wellbeing and fitness centre. There is a wide range of services which are offered at the Brighton Baths to support physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Activities which are offered at the Brighton Baths include swimming in the only 50m open water lap lane in Victoria, enjoying the sea baths, indoor and outdoor gym facilities, steam room which offers views of the Bay, water sports activities including kayaking and paddle boarding, picnics, yoga or meditation classes on the edge of the water, reading and there is also a boardwalk for those who enjoy walking in nature.
Royal Brighton Yacht Club
The Royal Brighton Yacht Club is a landmark of the area, with it having been originally established in 1876. The Royal Brighton Yacht Club even thrived during the great depression, and has remained a strong club which has been enjoyed by many members ever since. The marina was established in the 1960s to expand facilities and was then further extended in 1979 including an addition of a hardstand. Now, the Royal Brighton Yacht Club is a venue that has provides sailing, the marina and a restaurant which provides fine dining with a stunning view out over the marina. In 2025 the Royal Brighton Yacht Club will also be celebrating its 150-year milestone!
Bay Street
Bay Street Brighton is an iconic street within Brighton which offers a retail village which is well known by those in the area for offering boutique clothing, bedding, homeware items and more!
